This painting is of an amazing wisteria in my garden. It has incredibly long racimes that smell heavenly. I can stand under it and it's like a scented, mauve waterfall.
I'v tried get that feeling in the painting as a close-up of the blooms using gesso and thick paint to build up the texture, overlaying with oil glazes.
